Thunder Mountain CLIMB expectations & Big 5 Rules

3rd Quarter Attendance:
We are off to a fantastic start of our 3rd quarter! Your students are working very hard each and every day! It continues to be crucial that students are present at school. We continue to value our partnership with families to inform you of increased absences, tardies and early leaves. Please make sure you stay in communication with the school when needs come up. We will continue to communicate through phone calls and notes home if we see a concern. Our goal through this communication is to partner with families and support, if needed.

CLIMB Tickets:

It has been enjoyable watching our students get so excited about receiving CLIMB tickets over the past month! Classroom teachers have also implemented whole class incentives to receive CLIMB tickets! We look forward to continual excitement and motivation around acknowledging students doing the right thing!

Positive Proof:

This is our new check in and check out system. The goal of this system is to increase our school security and make sure our documentation is accurate of when students come and leave. If you come to visit or volunteer, please be sure to have your YELLOW badge visible for staff to see. Thank you so much for our patience while students, staff and families learn this new system.

Second Step SEL Lessons:

We have continued our work with Second Step Lessons. We will be starting Unit 3: Empathy & Kindness in February. Read more about Second Step here. This year, our four major units of study include: Growth Mindset & Goal Setting, Emotion Management, Empathy & Kindness, and Problem-Solving.
