Thunder Mountain CLIMB expectations & Big 5 Rules

CMAS TESTING:

CMAS testing has officially started! Here is the schedule for our morning tests:

3rd, 4th & 5th Grade: ELA

April 2nd, 3rd, & 4th

3rd, 4th & 5th Grade: Math

April 8th, 9th & 10th

5th Grade: Science

April 16th, 17th & 18th

-Make-ups will be completed throughout the month.

Parents: Please be sure to schedule appointments in the afternoon so that students do not have to stop in the middle of the test. Also, getting to bed early that month will really support the following testing day.

April 8th: Solar Eclipse: We will have protective glasses for students to look at the eclipse, however we would like to request that you share with students to not look directly at the sun without the glasses on for their protection. We are super excited to have this experience with your student.

PTA  Meeting- Wednesday, April 10th @ 4:30:

Childcare provided. HELP NEEDED! We are on the hunt for a new PTA board. Please contact the school if you’re interested in taking over our PTA for the 2024-2025 school year. A huge THANK YOU to the following board members who helped out this year:

Summer School: Thunder Mountain teachers are in full force on planning summer school this year. Students who have been invited to join will be given information in their Tuesday folders this month. This is a GREAT opportunity to keep students engaged in learning and not lose information over the summer.

Monthly Cotton Candy PTA Sales:

PTA will be selling cotton candy for $1 on April 26th. Order forms will go out in Tuesday folders on April 23rd. This money will be used for ongoing school requests. Do you have some time to help make cotton candy? Please consider signing up to help out!

NEW School Website Page: D51 has done a full revamp of all school websites. Please be on the lookout for a new website for Thunder Mountain at the end of April/Early May.

Breakfast & Playground open at 8:30: Please make sure that students arrive no earlier than 8:30. We do not have supervision on the playground or in our vestibule until 8:30.

Morning Bus Loop: Due to inconsistent bus arrivals, we can no longer have cars in the bus loop until after 9:00. The sign has been updated.
