D51/KREX Golden Apple Award Winner: We are so proud to celebrate our very own Mrs. Diane Schaneman! She was recently honored with the Golden Apple Award for the month of October. Winners are selected from nominations throughout the district. Mrs. Schaneman teaches 2nd grade and serves on our school’s Instructional Leadership Team. Throughout her many years of teaching, she has provided high quality 

instruction and a deep level of compassion for our students. We are so proud of you, Mrs. Schaneman! 

October Parent Teacher Conferences: Thank you so much for participating in our Parent - Teacher Conferences last month. The collaboration between home and school is vital to the success of this school year and your student’s learning! Also, thank you to our PTA volunteers for providing a delicious dinner for our staff each evening of conferences! 

No Toys at School: As a reminder, toys (Pokemon cards, character figurines, stuffed animals, special jewelry, etc.) are not allowed at school. They become a significant distraction to the learning environment. Outside play equipment is permitted.

PTA Holiday Bazaar - Saturday, November 18th: Our Thunder Mountain PTA has organized a Holiday Bazaar fundraiser that will be hosted on Saturday, November 18th from 9AM-4PM in our school. Come shop from many local vendors to get a head start on the holiday season! 

LEGO League Tournament: A huge thank you to two of our amazing teachers, Mr. Gregersen and Mrs. White, for leading our LEGO League teams this year! They each lead a group weekly of young Mountaineers 

in preparation for the D51 Lego League Challenge Qualifier Tournament on Saturday, November 11th at 

FMHS. You are all welcome to attend this event. Thank you to these two teachers and a PTA donation for providing this awesome opportunity for our students!

School Campus & Office Hours: Our office is open each day from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Students are allowed to be on campus starting at 8:30 am. Prior to 8:30, we do not have adult supervision either inside or outside of our school. Please help us keep students safe by not allowing them to arrive early to school. Breakfast starts at 8:30 am each morning.
